Our story
Jai Laxmi Fruits opened on 1 November 2000 at Shop No. 8, Lilyba Fruit Market, inside the New Fruit Market on Naroda Road, Ahmedabad. It started the way most good fruit businesses start — one counter, a small stock, and a determination to sell only fruit we would be happy to eat ourselves.
Over 20+ years of trading, the shop has grown from a handful of daily customers into a steady supplier for households, retail shops, juice centres, caterers and hotels across the city. The range has grown too: what began with the familiar seasonal fruits now covers the complete range, imported varieties included.
What has not changed is the way we work. We still buy our own stock in person, we still grade it before it goes on display, and we still quote the same honest rate to a first-time buyer as to a customer of 20+ years.
